Heralding Spring Service. Special guest artists, Mrs. Edith Hill Adams, with two electric guitars and 35 piece Hawaiian Guitar Orchestra and the pipe organ in the background. Announcing one of the most unique, original and colourful Sacred Sunny Spring time Services ever to be held in the City of London, combining the song of the Birds, the beauty of blossoms and a galaxy of garden grandeur with a background of Shifting Shades of Sunset Light, with dozens of flowers. This service will be a real soul tonic. It will bring the sunshine of Jesus Christ the light of the world into your heart, when you will behold God through the redeeming beauty of the Rose of Sharon and the Lily of the Valley. Rev. Cameron's message will be "Say it with flowers." April 1939 Rev. Cameron will allow the treasurer to withhold $25 a month and pay $10 a month to the Ladies Aid until arrears on parsonage rent are paid in full. October 1939 Calendar A special Red, White and Blue Service for the soldiers and their friends will be held next Sunday evening. All the soldiers who served in the last war are invited as well as every soldier who has enlisted from organization of the church or is a relative of any of those who are attending the church or are members. Seats will be reserved for every soldier, and appreciation message will be given and Mrs. Edith Hill Adams with her electric guitar and 35 piece orchestra and other musicians will assist. October 15, 1939 Calendar 35th Anniversary of the Church. Rev. S. M. Inman of Talbot Street Baptist Church, London will speak in the morning. Forty talented men and women from First Church, Brantford and a Business Men's Male Quartette will sing several numbers. Mrs. King, one of Brantford's outstanding soloists will sing. A violin solo by Mr. Duce and a song by Mr. Toge. |
