Our associate pastor, Rev. M. P. Lockhart, addressed the members and offered several suggestions among which was that a large committee be selected to form a group for prayer and the following were chosen: Mr. Olmsted, Mr. Lockhart, Mr. C. Malone, Mrs. Monroe, Mrs. Timms, Miss Margery Olmsted, Mrs. Cook and Mr. Watson. Baptisms: Miss Marion Sweetzir, 292 Nelson St., Mrs. Hooper, Miss Eula Evans, Miss Hazel Roberts, Miss Desolie Hooper, Miss Madeline Ball, Miss Betty Barker, Miss Julia Timms, Miss Annie Drummond. March 15, The church sent a telegram to Rev. A. Burgess of Kingsville, who is one of our former pastors, expressing our sympathy to them for the loss of their oldest son Alfred who died as a result of an explosion in Kingsville. October 25, Rev. Caleb Harris of the Wentworth St. Baptist Church of Hamilton was the guest for the Anniversary services. March 1, 1936 Calendar We are very grateful to Mr. E. H. Peckham, of the Peckham Electric Shop, 740 Dundas Street, for the beautiful Marconi Radio, placed at our service this morning, in order that we may hear the voice of our beloved king, Edward the VIII. Rev. Edgar Allen is our guest speaker today, as he proclaims the message of the King of Kings. |
